Quick setup
Enable the Theme App Embed
Enable the RecentView initialization embed in Shopify Theme Editor so product views can be recorded in the shopper’s browser.
Add the RecentView block
Add the block to Product, Home, Collection, or Cart templates. Checkout is not supported.
Common issues
Widget does not appear
- App Embed is enabled
- RecentView block is added and enabled
- The browser already has recently viewed products
- Hide When Empty is not hiding an empty section
- Current product setting is not removing the only item
- You are on a supported template
- Active plan display limit still allows products to show
Widget looks different from preview
- Theme Match may sample surrounding theme styles on the live page
- Sync ON uses app settings; Sync OFF uses Theme Editor block settings
- Theme Editor block overrides can differ by template
Product is missing
The widget depends on browser-side recently viewed history and storefront product data availability. A product may not appear if it was not viewed in this browser, was filtered by settings, or could not be loaded from the storefront product data sources.

The public Shopify App Store listing URL is not configured yet. Set
SHOPIFY_APP_STORE_URL in the production environment so “Install from Shopify” buttons can open the listing directly. Until then, use Theme App installation from Shopify Admin or contact support.Support request guidance
